Job title: Professor
As a Professor of Immunology and Director of the Biotherapy Department at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital and Pierre and Marie Curie medical school, my main activities have been to advance translational research in Immunology.
I built-up a global organization that is one of the rare structure capable of developing biotherapies from bench to bedside. My current specific interests and research activities are:
I study the development, homeostasis and function of T cells, with a special focus on regulatory T cells (Treg) and systems immunology approaches.
I study the role of Treg in cancer, inflammation and autoimmunity.
I develop various biotherapies, notably biological and cellular Treg-based immunotherapies
IL-2 & Treg Cell Therapies: In or Out? 1:00 pm
IL-2 is the key cytokine for Treg survival and function Treg cell products are cultured in ultra-high dose of IL-2, becoming IL-2 addicted, which impacts their survival and function in patients We generated IL-2 sufficient super-Tregs expressing either wild type or mutated IL-2 under various promoters These cells survive in IL-2 deprived environments and have…Read more
